This is an independent travellers’ hub for Santorini (Thira) International Airport, IATA code JTR – the island’s only airport, on the east coast about 6 km from Fira. Pick the page that matches your trip, or read the full Santorini Airport guide first.
Where to start
The JTR airport guide is the one page that covers the whole airport: the single terminal, distances and driving times, free parking, and how arrivals and departures share the same compact building. Start there if you have never landed here.
Book your ride from the airport
The island licenses only around 40 taxis and summer buses fill up, so most travellers arrange the ride before they fly. Compare airport transfers from about €30, airport taxis from about €20 and the KTEL bus from €2.20, or pick up a car at the rental desks in the terminal. Fixed-price rides can be booked in advance on GetTransfer.com.
Track your flight
JTR flies to Athens year-round and adds about 38 airlines to some 55 destinations each summer. Plan with flights to and from Santorini and airlines at JTR, then check arrivals, departures or delays and cancellations.
Paperwork, luggage and Wi-Fi
EU border rules have changed, so check EES and ETIAS before you travel. For what the small terminal does and does not offer, see luggage storage, Wi-Fi and SIM cards, ATMs and currency exchange, security and late-night arrivals.
